Description: | JDC rescue efforts during World War II included reaching out to a network of other organizations, including HIAS and the NY-based German Jewish Children’s Aid to help children, some of whom had relatives in America, emigrate from Holland to the U.S. Relatives were contacted for affidavits, funds, and to provide homes for young relatives. |
